GPS Insulators Laboratory provides testing services for electrical power transmission and distribution equipment, including overhead line components and power facilities.
Laboratory activities are based on staff expertise, controlled operating conditions, suitable equipment and the consistent application of relevant methods and standards.
The laboratory’s services are available to all interested clients.

GPS Insulators Laboratory is accredited by the Accreditation Body of Serbia in accordance with SRPS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the activities defined in the current Scope of Accreditation.
Impartiality
Laboratory activities are conducted impartially, and technical decisions and test results are determined independently and objectively, without internal or external influence on professional judgement.
Competence
Testing is performed by qualified personnel using appropriate methods, suitable controlled equipment and documented operating procedures.
Confidentiality
Information and results generated during laboratory activities are safeguarded and used in accordance with the laboratory’s confidentiality rules.
ACCREDITED TESTS
The current Scope of Accreditation of GPS Insulators Laboratory covers tests on glass cap-and-pin insulators.
Accredited test methods include:
- verification of dimensions;
- verification of displacement;
- verification of the locking system;
- mechanical failing load test;
- thermal shock resistance test;
- galvanizing test.
OTHER TESTING SERVICES
In addition to activities covered by its current Scope of Accreditation, the laboratory provides other testing services for electrical power transmission and distribution equipment, subject to its available technical capabilities and competencies.
