With a proven service life of 60 to 80 years, they ensure long-term safety and reliable operation of electrical power systems.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"jsx-26696b51b615ec5c comment-privacy-wrapper\">Their greatest advantage is straightforward damage detection. In the event of failure, the glass shell shatters into small fragments, making the damaged insulator string unit easy to identify from the ground. At the same time, the insulator retains sufficient mechanical strength, allowing the insulator string to continue operating safely until the damaged unit can be replaced as planned. Versions with additional pin protection (a &#8220;zinc sleeve&#8221;) are also available upon request.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications:<\/strong> glass insulators are used on overhead lines and in substations at voltage levels above 1 kV, up to the highest transmission voltages<\/p>\n<p><strong>Characteristics:<\/strong> in accordance with SRPS EN IEC 60305:2022 (equivalent to IEC
